Whatever happened to Mark Dorsey?

Has anyone else noticed that Mark Dorsey has been conspicuously absent for a month since the CSI Dynamic Standards rollout?

Oh? I doubt he is absent. I believe he is orchestrating every response from the Board and scripted the Town Hall, as well. He is likely frantically busy trying to salvage whatever he can to prove his decision to implement dynamic standards was right for CSI, right for CSI members, and right for the industry. Otherwise it may not be good for his career.

Zerodocs case was heard today. We should have a decision soon.

So that tells you what happened to Mark Dorsey - he was in court defending his decision.

Good luck to Mr. D, or as we say here in Missouri:
“Salus populi suprema lex esto.”

John Guille - Good one!

I still don’t have an answer to my question.

@David forget Dorsey he works for the Board. His comments are not what we need.

We need to hear from the Board of Directors that is responsible for representing the members and running the organization. They have been silent since the town hall.

David Axt: This might be whatever happened to him…

(Per his LinkedIn profile, he spent almost eighteen years with Professional Ski Instructors of America - American Association of Snowboard Instructors before CSI got stuck with him and his “financial acumen.”)

(Technically, he was a ski instructor, but this is a funnier image.)

I’ve been waiting for someone to mention his past. He’s probably quite used to “slippery slopes”!

So when is Mark Dorsey going to try to justify his new hire?

Mark just posted on CSI Community Forum:

Late yesterday, an employee of The Construction Standard falsely represented his membership status with CSI and engaged in inappropriate social media exchanges with CSI members and others in our community regarding CSI Dynamic Standards.

The posts were inappropriate, overreaching, and hurtful. This individual was not authorized to speak on behalf of CSI and does not represent CSI leadership or the organization’s official views.

We welcome respectful discussion and debate. We do not condone behavior that falls short of that standard.

We have taken action to address this and prevent it from happening again.

George,
I saw that. I hope he fired Sean Rigney. Nerves are frayed, and the last thing we need is someone wacking at the beehive.
