Timekeeping App

I’ve been using Harvest for timekeeping for over 10 years, but their pricing model is changing to something not worth the cost for me. I am looking at other solutions to replace Harvest. Are any small practices or solo practitioners using Clockify, Toggl Track, or something else for timekeeping that they are happy with?

I’m solo, so I’m the only person to keep time for.

I track my time for billing for the rare hourly projects, and also so that I have accurate historical data of actual hours worked on past projects and on non-project administrative work so that I can prepare lump sum proposals and plan my workload.

I use clockify for our team. I’m on a paid subscription now, but the basic plan worked well for me. You can also ask any AI platform to build you a small app to do this… especially if it’s only for you.

Thank you! Great idea about making a timekeeping app, especially since I’ve already exported all my historical data into Excel and made PivotTables to recreate the old reports.

I used it for years as well, for my solo practice. The price increase is crazy. I think my QuickBooks subscription still has a timekeeping feature, but I remember not liking it as well as Harvest. I haven’t heard of Clockify so thanks for the suggestion! I’ll check it out.
