I would not consider it ceiling mounted.
There should be a structure above the ceiling plane to support the unit. Similar to an above ceiling support structure for ceiling hung toilet compartments.
The angle shapes accessory in the photo is simply an escutcheon to conceal the opening in the ceiling membrane.
Consult with a structural engineer to design the suspended structure.
