Has anyone written a spec for this product? Or is even familiar with this product? I’m told we’ve used it in a project, but oddly enough, we don’t have a spec for the product. (We’re thinking the GC snuck it in)
Anyway, I’m putting it in a new section - 11 7500 Health Care Equipment Support. It won’t have much to say - sole source since it’s patented and it will be “install per manufacturer’s written instructions”.
Can anyone add to this?

How about (delegated?) design of anchorage/secondary support, to resist various loading, dead and lateral force?
No, no, no. This is all pre-engineered and above the ceiling. No need to cut, beat, or paint. It seems pretty slick.

That does seem really slick. However, you (your architect and/or med. equip planner) need to carefully review the lateral deflection values allowed for the various boom mounted equipment being scheduled. For example, Steris requires a MAXIMUM lateral deflection of .01" for many of their boom mounted equipment specifications.
My typical 2" 20 gauge metal deck with 3.25" of lightweight concrete will deflect more than .01" when a 400 lbs lateral test load is put on the boom at the ceiling line. Fail.
We typically need to add supplemental unistrut supports in at least two directions, kicked off at 45 degrees or so to prevent the deck from flexing and causing our boom supports to fail the test.

Appears to be a Unistrut or Power Strut, etc look alike. Write the section around what you know and include as an acceptable product.
Give performance requirements and delegate design: Design roll formed channel structural framing, including comprehensive engineering analysis by a qualified professional engineer, using performance requirements and design criteria indicated.

Since it’s pre-engineered, the delegated design will be for the odd situation where a standard system won’t work. But, yes, that will be in the spec.
I’ve also suggested a load chart for the medical equipment to make it easier to order.

Stephen, I have already received your specification. Thank you. I appreciate your responsiveness, although I’m creating a Division 11 section so the product doesn’t get missed by the medical equipment folks. We talked about either Division 05 or 11 and chose 11 7500 to call attention to the product.
