The interior designer wants to use leather tile at a bar in a hotel. I have never heard of such a material. Is it just glued on the substrate with adhesive?
Any help would be appreciated.

What do the manufacturer’s installation instructions state? What is the substrate? It this on the horizontal surface of the bar - if so, what about moisture? What about cold and/or heat? What about the joints? The manufacturer has to have some guidelines.

David:
I havent specified leather tile, but I have for leather cladding for interior doors. Because the leather is a finish, flame spread may be an issue depending on occupancy classification, is the building sprinklered, leather orientation (ie horizontal or vertical), etc. Also, its likely the substrate/backing will need to be non-combustible.
