You goin’?
Understand registration is up 5% over last year.
Hope to see those of you I’ve met before, and for those looking for me, start with old, wrinkled, fat, ugly----- and well, you’ll get me eventually!!!
Safe passage!!!

I’ll be there, looking forward to my 23rd in a row.
I’m not sure I’ve done anything 23 times in a row - except for one foot after the other. Is that a record? Should we notify Guinness (the record book people, not the drink people - although…)
See you there!
yes, I’ll be there. this may be my 25th institute - – I skipped a couple in there, but it was a long time ago. first one was in 1982 or 1983 for me. (whichever of those was in Orlando.)
Anne goes for Silver!
From a historical point of view: Quote from Feb 2005 Fellows Newletter in article on Walter E. Damuck as he became Distinguished Member: “He has attended the CSI Show and Convention for 32 consecutive years from 1965 1997.”
Have no idea if that is a record or not. Bet some people like John Anderson, John Fleck, or Art Miller and others from that era would be right at or above that number - maybe Sheldon knows the number for John.
I have attended 35 CSI conventions but not consecutively.
I’ll be there, but now I feel like a rookie - not even into double digits on the convention count. Hope to catch up to all of you and get stories about the “good old days”.
I’m goin–but lagging behind Doug, Anne, and Bob; this will be my 17th consecutive convention.
Looking forward to seeing CSI friends again, at the convention and the SCIP events.
I’m with you, George; we’re wet behind the ears and mere greenhorns. I might be working on wood (5) or iron (6) consecutively, but I’m no where near anything like bronze (8), crystal (15), silver or coral (35) (not to even mention ruby (40), sapphire (45), or gold).
Lynn,
The Guinness record book does have a connection to the Guinness brewery. Check it out:

I missed a few in my early years, but I’ve gone to every one since 1998, with a total of seventeen. I was surprised; I hadn’t counted them before.
Oops - the 17th is furniture…CSI chairs, anyone?
I’m going to need a chair after 12 hours of walking the exhibit hall; probably after the first 4 hours on day one.
Family events are taking me to Ojai, CA that week, so I will miss it this year. Have fun everyone!
I had planned to go, but I have personal business out of the country and would miss most of the show and education sessions. This would have been somewhere around my 25th CSI convention over 32 years. I wonder how many miles of walking I’ve done on the show floor.
I’m going - I think I’ve missed two since 1996, maybe three?? I don’t know - it was more than five minutes ago and I forgot.
MAJOR PROBLEM BREWING OVER THE SHOW NEXT WEEK!!!
Those of us who are going can’t decide who, of those not going, to talk about first!!!
Safe trip to all those traveling to Philly!
