I have a client who has used on their other buildings solid surfaced toilet partitions. The manufacturer they list is “Shower Shapes”. Who else makes that type of partition with Corian as a base material?
As an aside I’ve been absent from participating in these discussions for several years, but at 75 I’m still writing and enjoying it. Still using Masterspec, Win 10 and Office 365. I do enjoy the discussions.
Jerome, my wife passed away 8 years ago, kids are successful and don’t live far away, health is relatively good and still enjoy what I do. Have been writing specs for over 50 years. Had good on the job training back in the 60’s. I’m both emeritus AIA and CSI and still attend meetings and help where I can.
Back to the subject at hand, in the past when I needed to specify a solid surfaced toilet partition there were no manufacturers, the toilet partition was fabricated by a shop using Corian, or Ceasartone.
Dean - I also recently received a request to use solid surface toilet partitions on a State university athletic project. I was not involved in the product selection, so I don’t know the rationale for this type of partition. InPro is our basis-of-design. I am also looking at some others that I found via Google: Shower Shapes, Privacy Plus, Ironwood Manufacturing, and Redi-Stall.
Ed, thanks for the information and the listing of mfgs. I used Wayne’s spec section, now I can add some manufacturers. Masterspec might have to create a section for this type of partition as with this many manufacturers it might be the new wave.
