A client has asked us if we know of a US manufacturer for a door similar to Relita’s Floataway door, being made in Australia.

If I am interpreting the photograph correctly, these may be sometimes refered to as “partial canopy doors.” These were very common on residential garage doors (the house I grew up in had them on a double car garage). The hardware is jamb mounted and spring counterbalanced (my term, may not be correct). The door panel is usually a solid panel, but I don’t see any reason why it could not be designed to be stile and rail. I specified this for some doors about 20 years ago.
This is a typical residential garage door in California (LA area) in construction dating back to the 60s or so. Not sure what to call them, so finding manufacturers might be difficult. But what Peter called them seems right.
and, this may also be one of those things where there is a local manufacturer who makes a comparable product that is serviceable and not that well known. I’ve done a number of overhead doors and gates from local suppliers.
