First thing I’ve noticed: I’m amazed nobody at CSI/CSC has noticed the typo with section 26 43 13, which has been there since the 2012 revision:
“Surge Protective Devices for Low-Voltage Electrical Power Circuitsrical Power Circuits”
A copy and paste error spell check error, but I’m really surprised it hasn’t been corrected in over two years! Should just read “Surge Protective Devices for Low-Voltage Electrical Power Circuits”
The narrow scope conservation sections are for historic restoration or renovation projects. Most projects would never use them, but for a specialized work result, such a section could be quite detailed.
We had a presentation at a chapter meeting recently about specifying for historic preservation - a unique, and when needed, a valuable sub-specialty.
