Suggestions on where to specify a “Murphy” bed?
I’m considering 113036 or 125830 titled “Retractable Beds.” Other ideas?
Back in 2007 I wrote a section for this: SECTION 125830 BUILT-IN BEDS
Division 12 makes more sense to me - it’s furnishings, not equipment.
Does anyone have a specification for Murphy Beds that they could share?

Is that the bed that doesn’t come down when you want it to, or it goes up when it isn’t supposed to?

If it’s a specified product, that suggests it is permanently installed, unlike a piece of furniture. If so, and if it’s part of a system of casework in a space, maybe it should be specified as a component or accessory in a casework section. That way the casework fabricator can make sure that the system will properly fit and be coordinated with the casework it’s going into.
