methyl-methacrylate resin waterproofing

is anyone familiar with these systems and can give me any feedback, pro and con? This particular system is by ALT. Thanks!

I haven’t used it in a long time, but it was super-stinky stuff, albeit with low VOCs. I would not recommend it for a renovation, unless the building will be completely unoccupied.
MMA flooring is the example I usually cite that not everything stinky has high VOCs.

Silikal is another company. Good chemical resistance, especially soda beverages. Fast cure means minimal downtime for operational facilities.

I presume you’re talking about exterior applications such as roof or deck. MMA doesn’t tend to provide the elongation typically expected from a thin film, direct-to-substrate membrane. Having said that, it is a very strong and durable product and has its place when exposed membrane is subject to abusive conditions such as pedestrian or vehicular traffic. MMA is very good protection at commercial kitchen exhaust vents.

Consider polyurea as well. You might get better elongation while still getting many of the benefit seen from MMA.
