Does anyone have a jib crane specification they’d be willing to share? I’ve got a ceiling mounted one of 500 pounds and a beam mounted one of 2000 pounds. None of the manufacturers appear to have specs available; Gorbel has shared in the past, but now I can’t log on to their website. It’s been 1/2 hour since they were going to email me “how to reset your password”…

Working on hoist specs and no master specifications available in Division 41 (other than cranes in the UFGS specs!), I found the Grainger product selection tool to be a useful resource, coupled with a blank master template and a full master template for copying only the applicable example text. You would need to establish some criteria from the user, and see which manufacturers you are left with as you put in criteria.

Well, one of our projects needs a jib crane spec, and needs it today (for an addendum)–so I searched 4Specs.com, and ended up here. But even though Grainger has dozens of jib-crane related products in its catalog, I can’t find its “product selection tool.” What am I missing?
Though I’m still trying to find out what the relevant criteria are for this particular crane… in the meantime, does anyone have a jib crane spec I can use as a basis, that you’d be willing to share? Thanks!
Cancel that request (or modify it) – I’ve just been told that what we really need is a track-mounted overhead hoist, not a jib crane…
