I am looking for a gypsum board product that has 2 inches of insulation stuck to it. I thought for sure that this product exists but cannot find it.
We are using this to wrap an elevator core inside a parking garage.
What type of insulation? I think you can get a polyiso roof insulation board with a glass-mat gypsum facer. Not really the proper product for your situation.
I do not recall any interior products with a Type X gypsum board facer on an insulation board.
I assume the wall is rated (shaft enclosure for an elevator hoistway). I do not think there are any tested assemblies that use gypsum-faced insulation boards as a part of a shaft wall.
Sounds like ArmorWall except it’s magnesium oxide, not gypsum board.

Looks like ArmorWall meets NFPA 285 for exterior wall assembly but that wouldn’t apply to elevator shaft separation. ASTM E119 needed for wall rating, which I don’t think any MgO panel assemblies meet. (It’s been a while since I looked at this so I don’t know if there are new developments with MgO)
Let me clarify by saying that the elevator/lobby/stair shaft is cast-in-place concrete. We just need to wrap it for energy concerns.

As I recall, Armorwall (now owned by DuPont - https://www.dupont.com/products/armorwall-plus.html) comes with an air barrier applied to the magnesium oxide substrate and can be supplied with or without insulation. It’s made in North Carolina and is presumably not the same product mentioned in these other articles.
Still, I’ll leave it to DuPont to respond. I have used the product successfully on several projects and have not heard of any issues or problems with it.
Warning: Not everything you read on the internet is helpful. I had a huge Armorwall project get switched to MW (which I also like, I just dont like rework) because someone googled MgO and found a bunch of articles on these older imported boards and then generalized it to Maxlife/DuPont product. They are different. DuPont definitely did their homework before buying Maxlife.
