I am running into plaster products which are calcium silicate based rather than cement or gypsum based. Has anyone specified these products before? Any words of wisdom?
I’ve heard of it used as an applied fireproofing material but not as a decorative finish. I usually see it as a board product for fireproofing.
Whose products are you seeing?
After having bad experiences with cast calcium silicate products like Arriscraft, I tend to avoid them. I’ve never used an applied calcium silicate plaster product on a US project.
