After looking for good building envelope analysis software for some time, we have just learned of a program called "The Heat, Air and Moisture Building Science Toolbox (“H.A.M. Toolbox”) from Quirouette Building Specialists Ltd., Mississauga (Ottawa), Ontario.

Version 1B has several tools for R value, condensation, dew point, air leakage, air pressure and psychrometric analysis. It’s available in different versions for metric and US units, it’s not cheap ($575 US) and there’s no demo version, but it has a 30-day money-back gurarantee.

Has anyone used this? Can anyone recommend it (or a good alternative)?

There is a free tool from the US DOE that might do some of what you are asking about. (I’m not the expert on energy analysis, and I haven’t tried it yet, just heard a blurb about it at an energy code seminar.)
