Looking for any comments or experiences with KEE membrane roofing products.

Thanks

Ralph, I’ve successfully specified Fibertite manufactured by Seaman Corp on numerous South Florida projects, it is esp good over LWIC, great uplift loads possible, local representation is by the manufacturer’s rep, Mario Ibanez 954-689-0509 is a good source for information on performance and as a fellow CSI member has the respect of many Architects for his knowledge of roofing products. On pricing Fibertite has been very competitive. We prefer to specify 80 mil product as we’ve seen puncture problems at 45 mil, so if the Owner wants to downsize, going to 60 mil is still acceptable.

I’ve spec’d Fibertite KEE as well, putting it against my preferred brands of PVC. This requires a bit of tinkering with Part 2, since you’re really specifiying two different products, with the typical clause “use one of the following two types.”

The DuPont Elvaloy polymer in KEE membrane products is said to have superior resistance to certain chemical exposure. We’ve used KEE membranes on a culinary school with 16 rooftop kitchen hood exhausts, with good results. We’ve also specified it as a flexible membrane flashing in some mod bit applications. I’d consider it a top of the line single ply.
