adding extra pages

My architect wants an extra page added to specifications with odd numbered pages. These PDFs, when combined together, will have each section start on the right hand side of the page. Plus each section will be individual for easier removal or replacement in the project manual.

Is there a technique for creating a blank page after each odd numbered page?

WordPerfect: Ctrl, Enter. Insert, Header/Footer, (select appropriate header / footer ) Discontinue

It’s routine in some firms. Some do this in-house, and some ask their reprographics company to do it to the pdfs before printing. There may be a feature in your spec software that that does this (SpecLink does, for example, if you select “start sections on odd page” or something like that). You can add an extra page to pdfs in Acrobat (click on the “Document” drop-down menu).

Our print house inserts the slip sheets, so we don’t worry about it. For online publication, why would you want a blank page?

If you are using Bluebeam PDF Revu, go to the “Document” in the drop-down menu and select “Insert Blank Page.”

Microsoft Word: Begin at the end of document (odd page).

click Page Layout > Breaks > Next Page to create a break.

Double click in header > click Link to Previous.

Move to footer > click Link to Previous

Microsoft Word: CONTROL-END; CONTROL-ENTER

Keeping the extra page in the Word doc instead of in the PDF only is helpful as it will still be there when you issue modified sections for addenda or for conformed sets - just remember to recheck your pagination if you add a paragraph.
