4specs opens automatically every time I open my browser, whether or not I’m logged in. Is there a setting I can change so 4specs opens only from the icon on my desktop?
@Davemetzger 4specs, by itself, cannot automatically open every time you open a browser. Discourse does not permit this behavior because it would violate website rules.
There may have been an inadvertent action that causes the website to open every time the browser is launched. The browser may be set to open certain pages on every launch. (This is how my browser is set). The browser may be set to restore the last opened websites on startup. The desktop shortcut icon may be been dragged to the home page button and been set to replace the browser default home page.
All of these are controlled by the browser settings. In Chrome, you can find the settings here: chrome://settings/onStartup. Here are the Chrome startup options.
Chrome is the only browser I use. I suspect others are similar.
