Need to Replace Newforma - What Software are YOU Using?

Trust me, Tonic knows it. Just ask them to set it up. Ask for Nathan & Nishel from Taylor

Update - 2 years later.
I still miss Tonic, but I have found an interesting solution for bare bones CA logging. Asana is a fairly well known cloud based PM software, but its highly configurable, so I created data fields to suite my project needs. Now, this is really only for RFI’s and Submittals, though you could certainly track other things such as Change Orders and so forth, but I think Excel might still be best for cost data. My “customization” includes RFI Reason Codes, tracking NMA’s and ACD’s (an OSHPD thing - California healthcare specific). It doesn’t track emails per se, but it replaces the email process. You flag someone @username and assign the RFI or submittal to someone, and you have discussions within that RFI task, and you can include images and other documents and so forth. All that communication history is tied to the RFI which is great. You can export the Asana data into a decent looking Excel Spreadsheet. I have been using Sharepoint a lot, and so my spreadsheets are uploaded to Sharepoint so the contractor can use my logs also. All in all, its still a workaround, but one I like using and find quite effective. Its cheap, fast, portable, and my consultants can all use it free. If anyone has questions on how I’ve been using Asana, let me know. I’m happy to share and help solve common shared pains
