Speaking of PDF files (refer to the thread below), has anybody had any experience with Bluebeam (www.bluebeam.com)?
I saw them at “The CSI Show” and they looked interesting. I gave the promo CDs to our IT and CAD guys but would like some real world experience. Thanks.

I have been thrashing Bluebeam extensively for several weeks in both graphic (ACAD) and word processing applications. There are several advantages over Adobe, price not least. I am mildly favorable at present.
However, I have had some problems too, some of which may be due to the persistent PEBKAC system fault. Today I needed both BB and AdobePro to finish a single task…
I will post more when the next project is out-the-door, watch this space.
I just posted in the “Computers and Internet” section of this forum that I am really enjoying it. They will be performing a full presentation in my office on May 11th. I will have had a month or so expereince with it by that time. I’ll post my results and any relevant information from the presentation in the other section of this forum.
Nathan - I will be interested in hearing about their presentation to you office as I intend on scheduling one.
I am also interested in hearing the advantages over Adobe Professional. My firm has a site license for Adobe and the main question I am getting about Bluebeam is why do we need it if we have Adobe Professional. My little experience with Bluebeam is that it is more intuitive for design hacks and that it may go a long way to getting more of our in-house QA done on the computer screen rather than many different printed sets.
Acrobat Pro and BlueBeam work best together. BlueBeam has CAD applications far in excess of anything in Acrobat Pro. For specifications, BlueBeam is not required although it has useful features. I can send you an email I shared with Lottie Eskilsson.
